Huawei SFTF participants to attend Tech4Good global competition

The best of the 120 meritorious students from 16 Asia-Pacific countries are set to move to the next chapter of the “Seeds For The Future” (SFTF) programme, by participating at the Tech4Good 2022 Global Competition.

They will join the global competition in January next, and this round will allow the top finalists the opportunity to pitch their final projects to a panel of internationally renowned judges, said a press release.

Every year, through organising SFTF, Huawei brings together young global talents from top universities to a free-of-charge, mind-blowing and life-changing exchange programme in China.

There, they explore Huawei’s cutting-edge ICT, experience traditional and modern Chinese culture, and hone their professional development.

The Tech4Good competition aims to raise students' awareness of challenges to local sustainable development, encourage them to use ICT skills they acquire to find solutions that are both technically and commercially viable, and help them turn their dreams into reality.

It is designed to help young adults learn about the latest trends in digitalisation and explore how digital technologies can address common social issues, said the press release.

Through Tech4Good, participants can boost own creativity, hone their entrepreneurship skills, and develop a sense of social responsibility. The SFTF 2022 participants created technological solutions that are able to answer today's social problems through activities in Tech4Good.
