Robi's net profit reaches Tk 86.5cr in Q3

Mobile phone operator Robi Axiata Limited has earned a profit of Tk 86.5 crore in the third quarter (July-September) of the year.

The company’s profit after tax (PAT) grew by 85.4 per cent compared to the last quarter (April-June) while its PAT rose by 122.3 per cent in Q3 compared to the same quarter last year, said Robi at a virtual press conference on Sunday.

“Supported by steadily rising revenue, and efficient cost management, the company’s PAT for the first nine months of the year reached Tk 167.4 crore.”

Compared to the second quarter in the current year, Robi’s 4G subscriber base grew by 12.7 per cent in Q3, while its 4G subscriber base grew by 51.1 per cent in comparison with the same quarter last year.

Out of a total subscriber base of 5.30 crore, 2.24 crore are 4G subscribers, it said.

“Besides, 74 per cent of the company’s subscribers are now data users, which is the highest in the industry,” Robi added.
