The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) on Sunday awarded five exporters for their outstanding contributions to Bangladesh's apparel industry.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the crest to four of the five exporters at the inauguration ceremony of "Made in Bangladesh Week-2022" at the Hall of Fame of Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC).
The exporters awarded were Epic Group, Panam Group, Snowtex Group, Fortis Group, and Sparrow Group.
Epic Group was awarded for their outstanding contribution towards the sustainable RMG industry. The award was received by the company’s Executive Chairman Ranjan Mahtani.
Panam Group’s Managing Director Amal Podder received the award for significant export to emerging markets on behalf of the group.
Snowtex Group was awarded for excellence in product development & industrial engineering. The crest was received by the group’s Managing Director SM Khaled.
Fortis Group Managing Director Shahadat Hossain received the crest for his company’s innovative approach to product diversification.
BGMEA named Sparrow Group on the award list for its innovation & excellence in technologies, but the award was not handed over during the ceremony.
