The officials of Indo-Pacific Opportunity Project (IPOP) have warned that if Bangladeshi exporters export any China’s Shenzhen cotton-based clothes to the US, the whole consignment will be forfeited and the exporters will not be eligible to claim payments for it.
The warning came in a meeting between Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA) and IPOP on Thursday in Dhaka, a press release of BGBA said.
BGBA President Kazi Iftekhar Hossain led the Bangladesh side while Tim Armstrong and Reza Patwary represented the Indo-Pacific Opportunity Project, which is implemented by the International Development Group and funded by the USAID.
