The Centre for Non-Resident Bangladeshis – a non-profit private research institute – called for Indonesia's initiative in expanding bilateral trade ties with Bangladesh at a meeting held Wednesday.
MS Shekil Chowdhury, chairperson of the Centre for NRB, headed a delegation that made a call on the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Zulkifli Hasan in Jakarta. Shekil invited the minister to visit Bangladesh and put emphasis on bilateral trade, read a press release.
In response, Zulkifli Hasan thanked the Centre for NRB chairperson for the invitation, and expressed the intent to visit Bangladesh next year. He also expressed interest in strengthening trade ties with Bangladesh.
