The e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) has suspended the membership of four e-commerce firms, including Evaly and Dhamaka Shopping.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the association’s Executive Committee on Tuesday, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.
Two other companies suspended are Sirajganj Shop and Glitters RST World.
The association suspended their membership due to the non-settlement of complaints of buyers and suppliers, failure to provide information demanded by e-CAB, non-compliance with Digital Commerce Guidelines-2021, and for not taking any step to pay the dues of buyers and merchants, along with running illegal multi-level marketing businesses, the press statement said.
The e-CAB asked the firms to settle the issues and submit reports within 30 working days.
“Otherwise, their membership may be cancelled considering the situation,” it added.
In August, the association suspended the membership of Eorange and three other e-commerce platforms.
