The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries has donated Tk 5 crore to Prime Minister's assistance fund and Tk 3 crore to Private Housing Fund respectively to participate in government's initiative to help people affected by the coronavirus epidemic.
FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim on Tuesday handed over pay orders to Principal Secretary Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus at the PM's office on Tuesday afternoon, said a press release.
FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim said, "We have all been going through a difficult time for more than a year now. We call upon all the businessmen and business organizations of the country to extend their hand of cooperation in building Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla.”
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina requested all to extend their support to the government in tackling the epidemic that has hit hard thousands of people in the country.
