Gold price drops to Tk 81,298 a bhori

Jewellers have decreased gold price by Tk 1,086 per bhori (11.664gm), taking the price of a bhori of 22-carat gold to Tk 81,298.

The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) on Monday in a press release announced the latest drop in all types of gold prices as the rate of pure gold went down in the local market.

The revised prices will be effective from Tuesday until further notice, the association said.

According to the new rate, 22-carat gold will cost Tk 81,298. Besides, the local market will sell 21-carat gold at Tk 77,624 and 18-carat gold at Tk 66,485.

Meanwhile, the price for traditional method gold has been set at Tk 55,171.

However, BAJUS has kept the price of silver unchanged.
