Jewellers have decreased gold price by Tk 1,283 per bhori (11.664gm), taking the price of a bhori of 22-carat gold to Tk 83,281.

The fresh decline comes just four days after the price of the precious metal reached a record high of Tk 84,564 a bhori on September 10.

The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) on Wednesday in a press release announced the latest drop in all types of gold prices as the rate of pure gold went down in the local market.

The revised prices will be effective from Thursday until further notice, the association said.

According to the new rate, 22-carat gold will cost Tk 83,281, which was Tk 84,564 per bhori.
