Gold price goes down again, drops to Tk 82,348 a bhori

Jewellers have decreased gold price by Tk 933 per bhori (11.664gm), taking the price of a bhori of 22-carat gold to Tk 82,348.

The fresh decline comes just four days after the price of the precious metal went down to Tk 83,281 on September 14.

The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) on Sunday in a press release announced the latest drop in all types of gold prices as the rate of pure gold went down in the local market.

The revised prices will be effective from Monday until further notice, the association said.

According to the new rate, 22-carat gold will cost Tk 82,348, which was Tk 83,281 per bhori previously.

Besides, the local market will sell 21-carat gold at Tk 78,615 and 18-carat gold at Tk 67,417.

Meanwhile, the price for traditional method gold has been set at Tk 55,870.

However, BAJUS has kept the price of silver unchanged.
