The Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) on Sunday decreased the prices of gold by Tk 1,749 per bhori (11.664g).
It reduced the prices as the rate of pure gold went down in the local market, read a press release, adding that the revised prices will be effective from Monday. Until further notice, 22-carat gold will cost Tk 96,695, which was Tk 98,444 per bhori previously.
According to the new rates, the price of 21-carat gold has been decreased by Tk 1,633 to Tk 92,320, down from Tk 93,953 per bhori.
The price of 18-carat gold has gone down by Tk 1,400 to Tk 79,140, which was Tk 80,540 per bhori previously. And traditional gold price has been decreased by Tk 1,166 to Tk 65,960, down from Tk 67,126 per bhori.
The price of silver remains unchanged for now. The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 1,715 per bhori.
