Jewellers will keep their shops closed across the country on Wednesday on the occasion of celebrating Durga Puja, the largest religious festival of the Hindu community.
Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) came up with the decision on Tuesday, said a press release signed by its President Enamul Haque Khan and General Secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwala.
The association requested the jewellery traders to keep their shops shut on the day of Maha Ashtami that falls on Wednesday, read the release.
