Mobile financial service Nagad recorded the landmark of four crore users within more than two years, the company said in a press release on Tuesday.
The company’s daily transaction crossed Tk 400 crore a day in the last week, said the press release.
Nagad crossed the landmark of one crore customers just in the first 10 months after launching its service on March 26, 2019.
In the next six months, it gained the confidence of two crore subscribers and in the next seven months, its subscriber number touched the three-crore mark. It took two more months to bag one crore customers, finally reaching the 4-crore milestone, the release said.
Commenting on the achievement, Tanvir A Mishuk, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Nagad, said, “We are working with the slogan — Everything is possible with Nagad — to make all traditional services available on Nagad’.
From the very beginning, Nagad has ensured the cash-out charge at Tk 9.99 per thousand and gave a buzz in the sector. Currently 12,000 merchants on board in Nagad’s network with 500 e-commerce platforms, according to the release.
