PHP Automobiles Limited has launched a six-day automobile exhibition “PHP Motor Fest-2021” at Agrabad area of Chattogram city from Sunday.
PHP Automobiles Limited Managing Director Mohammad Aktar Parvez delivered the opening speech after the inauguration of the six-day festival, said a press release.
In his speech, Mohammad Aktar Parvez said “We want that everyone should have brand new cars at reasonable prices discarding their old ones. Besides, all of our cars have five-year warranty.”
Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel was the chief guest of the programme, which was chaired by the founding chairman of PHP Group of Industries and Ekushey Padak-2020 winner Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman.
“Bangladesh’s gradual progress has amazed the global community. Hopefully, the country will be a role model of development in the future.”, Nowfel said.
It is a matter of pride that PHP family is making cars which already gained popularity among the buyers, he said, adding that "PHP is a very good company at making cars at a fair price for all, which is a challenge in the automobile industry," he added.
Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Mahbubul Alam and PHP Automobiles Chief Executive Akhtar Parvez, among others, spoke on the occasion.
PHP, a Chattogram-based industrial giant, assembles Malaysian Proton cars in Bangladesh.
Proton Saga 2021, Proton Persona, and Proton X-70 models are being displayed at the fest. For spot booking, the company will offer a 10 per cent discount and five years of guarantee.
PHP introduced its cars in mid-2017 with the launch of the Proton Saga 2017 model.
The company has already successfully marketed six models of the Proton from Malaysia, such as Proton New Saga, Proton Saga MC, Proton Preve, Proton Persona, Proton Exora and Proton X-70 (Microbus).
Currently, PHP has showrooms in Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet. It has plans to have exhibition halls in all major divisions and districts of the country in phases.
The PHP factory located in Sagarika of Chattogram has the capacity to manufacture 1,200 vehicles in a year.
