Prime Minister's Private Sector Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman on Sunday hoped that fuel and commodity prices will go down soon, as the prices are declining in the global market.

“As the prices of fuel and commodities are starting to decrease in the international market, it will affect the domestic market,” he told journalists after a meeting with the newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay K Verma, read a press release.

Salman hoped that the historically friendly relationship between Bangladesh and India will continue with full confidence and stability.

Answering queries from the journalists, Pranay K Verma said the historical and excellent relations between the two friendly countries, especially how to strengthen trade-investment cooperation, were discussed in the meeting.

The meeting held at the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) headquarters in the capital also involved discussions about increasing trade and investment, border huts and ports, he added.
