The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh will begin open market sale of three essential commodities for low-income group people amid the strict lockdown and ahead of Eid-ul-Azha from July 5.
The corporation would continue the OMS activity, better known as truck sale, on 450 trucks till July 29, excepting Eid holidays across the country to keep prices of essential commodities stable, said a press release.
The corporation fixed price for sugar at Tk 55 per kg, lentil at Tk 55 per kg, and soybean oil Tk 100 per litre for the OMS and an individual would be allowed to buy highest four kg of sugar, two kg of lentil and five litre at a time.
