Global confirmed cases of novel coronavirus transmission have crossed three million on Tuesday morning, according to the Johns Hopkins University tally.

Besides, the death toll due to Covid-19 reached 211,167.

So far, there have been a total of 3,041,517 confirmed cases around the world after Covid-19, the highly contagious disease caused by the new strain of coronavirus, was first reported in China in December last year.

Of those infected, 1,930,301 are currently being treated and 56,300 of them are in serious or critical condition, says worldometer.

So far, 893,967 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, Seven more people died of Covid-19 over the last 24 hours as of Monday, taking the toll to 152. Besides, 497 more people tested positive which makes 5,913 confirmed cases in total.
