The national budget for the fiscal year 2020-21 is scheduled to be placed at the parliament by Finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal in June.

A press release from the Finance Ministry on Sunday confirmed the matter.

Ordinary citizens alongside stakeholders will be allowed to submit their own suggestions on the upcoming national budget on the website of Finance Division.

Those interested to put forth their suggestions from home and abroad would have to visit the Finance Division website and click on the ‘Opinion/suggestion for budget 2020-21 preparation’ option to make their proposals and recommendations.

Besides, all essential information and important links of the upcoming budget will also be available on the Finance Division’s website.

Formal discussions on the proposed budget for 2020-21 fiscal year will kick off on May 5 through a meeting to prepare a fiscal policy for the country that will help the stagnant economy caused by the Covid-19 to return to its previous shape.
