Stock markets set to resume on May 31

Trading at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) will resume on May 31.

DSE said this in a press release on Thursday (May 28).

Considering the interests of the investors, DSE is going to restart trading by complying with the hygiene rules set by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, maintaining social distancing and ensuring security, the press release said.

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) saidthat it has no objection to the resumption of transactions in the country's stock markets.

The decision was taken at the first commission meeting of the newly formed BSEC on Thursday.
