DSE turnover increases slightly, index goes down

Trading at Dhaka Stock Exchange ended with falling indices on the second working day of the week on Monday (June 22). However, the amount of money transacted has increased slightly from the previous working day.

The share and unit prices of most of the companies participating in the transactions remained unchanged, said sources in the DSE.

On Monday, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange DSEX fell by 0.93 point to 3,962 points. Among other DSE indices, the Shariah Index rose by 0.14 point, the DSE-30 index by 0.12 point and the CDSET by 0.77 point to 918 points, 1,326 points and 784 points respectively.

Shares and units of Tk 51.26 crore were traded on the DSE on Monday – up by Tk 12.64 crore from Tk 38.62 crore just a working day ago. Of the 250 issues traded, 17 gained, 15 fell while 218 remained unchanged.

On the other hand, the key index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI went up by 5 points to 11,255 points on Monday. Shares and units worth of Tk 9.15 crore were traded at the CSE.

Among the 94 issues traded during the day, 18 gained, 12 declined and 64 remained unchanged.
