Stocks register mixed trends

Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended slightly higher on Tuesday (June 23). The key index of DSE has increased on this day. However, the other three indices have declined. At the same time, the index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has also decreased.

However, today the amount of money transacted has increased than that of the previous working day.

The share and unit prices of most of the companies participating in the transactions remained unchanged, said sources in the DSE and CSE.

On Tuesday, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange DSEX up by 1.30 point to 3,963 points. Among other DSE indices, the Shariah Index fell by 0.54 point, the DSE-30 Index by 0.35 point and the CDSET by 0.04 point to 918 points, 1,326 points and 784 points respectively.

Shares and units of Tk 71.96 crore were traded on the DSE on Monday – up by Tk 20.70 crore from Tk 51.26 crore just a working day ago. Of the 274 issues traded, 14 gained, 24 fell while 236 remained unchanged.

On the other hand, the key index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI fell by 8 points to 11,248 points on Tuesday. Shares and units worth of Tk 30.41 crore were traded at the CSE.

Among the 107 issues traded during the day, 9 gained, 19 declined and 79 remained unchanged.
