Bourses lose points on Sunday; CSE transaction surpasses DSE's

All the indices of both the stock markets declined on the first day of the week on Sunday.

However, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) experienced more transactions than Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on the day.

On Sunday, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) DSEX fell by 7 points, standing at 3,981 points. Among other DSE indices, the Shariah Index fell by 1 points, the DSE-30 Index by 3 points and the CDSET by 2 points, settling at 921 points, 1,336 points and 790 points respectively.

Shares and units of Tk73.40 crore were traded on the DSE on Sunday – down by Tk 7.78 crore from Tk81.18 crore just one working day ago. Of the 280 issues traded, 30 gained, 36 fell while 214 remained unchanged.

On the other hand, the key index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI fell by 10 points to 11,311 points on Sunday. Shares and units worth of Tk89.33 crore were traded at the CSE.

Among the 100 issues traded during the day, 19 gained, 23 declined and 58 remained unchanged.
