DSEX index touches 4,000 points again

The main index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX touched 4,000 point mark on Tuesday after 36 days or 25 working days. The Index was at 4,060 points on May 31.

On Tuesday (July 07) the market ended on a high. With all the indices gaining.

However, the amount of transaction slightly reduced on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) DSEX increased by 7 points, standing at 4,002 points. Among other DSE indices, the Shariah Index increased by 2 points, the DSE-30 Index by 4 points and the CDSET by a single point.

Shares and units of Tk 138.56 crore were traded at the DSE on Tuesday. Of the 312 issues traded, 47 gained, 36 fell while 229 remained unchanged.

On the other hand, the key index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI increased by 26 points to 11,365 on Tuesday. Shares and units worth of Tk 3.58 crore were traded at the CSE.

Among the 120 issues traded during the day, 27 gained, 14 declined and 79 remained unchanged.
