Indices decline with fall of transaction on Tuesday

All the major indices of both the stock markets in the country experienced a decline on Tuesday. The amount of transaction also went down than the previous working day.

On Tuesday, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) DSEX decreased by 7 points, standing at 4,082 points. Among other DSE indices, the Shariah Index increased by 1 point and the DSE-30 Index decreased by 2 points.

Shares and units of Tk 289.31 crore were traded on the DSE on Tuesday. Of the 347 issues traded, 43 gained, 120 fell while 184 remained unchanged.

On the other hand, the key index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI also experienced a decrease and now stands at 11,601 points.

Shares and units worth of Tk 17.63 crore were traded at the CSE. Among the 190 issues traded during the day, 41 gained, 61 declined and 88 remained unchanged.
