Stocks close flat on Wednesday

Trading on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) also ended with fall on Wednesday (July 15). At the same time, the amount of money transactions has decreased. However, despite the decline in the DSE, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has risen slightly.

 The share and unit prices of most of the companies participating in the transactions remained unchanged, said sources in the DSE and the CSE.

The key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) DSEX today dragged down by 3 points, standing at 4,079 points. Among other DSE indices, the Shariah Index down by 2 points and the DSE-30 Index up by 1 point, settling at 950 points and 1,375 points respectively.

Shares and units of Tk 267.83 crore were traded on the DSE on Wednesday– down by Tk 21.48 crore from Tk 289.31 crore just one working day ago. Of the 341 issues traded, 71 gained, 64 fell while 206 remained unchanged.

On the other hand, the key index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI zoomed up by 2 points to 11,604 points on Wednesday. Shares and units worth of Tk 10.70 crore were traded at the CSE.

Among the 184 issues traded during the day, 47 gained, 51 declined and 86 remained unchanged.
