Bourses weak on both stock exchanges

All the indices of both the stock exchanges in the country acted weak on Thursday with loss of points and low transaction.

On Thursday, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) DSEX decreased by 10 points. Among other DSE indices, the Shariah Index decreased by 4 point and the DSE-30 Index down by 6 points.

Shares and units of Tk225.97 crore were traded on the DSE on Thursday. Of the 329 issues traded, 58 gained, 74 fell while 197 remained unchanged.

On the other hand, the key index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI decreased by 44 points on Thursday. Shares and units worth of Tk8.03 crore were traded at the CSE.

Among the 178 issues traded during the day, 40 gained, 57 declined and 81 remained unchanged.
