Bourses gain, transactions increase

All the indices of both the stock markets of the country increased alongside transaction on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) DSEX increased by 16points.

Among other DSE indices, the Shariah Index up by 4 points and the DSE-30 Index increased by 7 points, settling at 948 points and 1,372 points respectively.

Shares and units of Tk 252.89 crore were traded on the DSE on Tuesday.

Of the 347 issues traded, 131 gained, 37 fell while 179 remained unchanged.

On the other hand, the key index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI increased by 43 points to settle at 11,620 points on Tuesday. Shares and units worth of Tk 5.87 crore were traded at the CSE.

Among the 203 issues traded during the day, 73 gained, 31 declined and 99 remained unchanged.
