Coronavirus: Global death toll reaches 643,384

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 643,384 as of Sunday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 15,984,384 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 5,638,814 infected patients, 5,572,611 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates. On the other hand 66,203 (of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 9,218,739 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 38 patients died from Covid-19 over the last 24 hours as of Saturday, taking the death toll to 2,874. Besides, 2,520 more people tested positive for the virus, which makes 221,178 confirmed cases in total.
