Global Covid-19 death toll reaches 665,581

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 665,581 as of Thursday morning, according to the data by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 16,957,763 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 5,818,930 infected patients, 5,752,540 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates. On the other hand, 66,390 (of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 10,696,797 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 35 patients died from Covid-19 over the last 24 hours as of Wednesday, taking the death toll to 3,035. Besides, 3,009 more people tested positive for the virus, which makes 232,194 confirmed cases in total.
