Covid-19: Global deaths reach 684,075

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 684,075 as of Sunday morning, according to the data provided by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 17,793,532 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 5,997,538 infected patients, 5,931,829 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates. On the other hand, 65,709 (of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 10,502,127 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 21 patients died from Covid-19 in the country over the last 24 hours as of Saturday, taking the death toll to 3,132.

Besides, 2,199 more people tested positive for the virus, which makes 239,860 confirmed cases in total.
