DSE PE ratio increases by 2.81pc

The overall price-to-earnings ratio (PE ratio) of the main stock exchange Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rose by 2.81 percent in the outgoing week.

At the beginning of last week, the PE of DSE was 11.37 points which was 11.69 points at the end of the week. In other words, the PE ratio has increased by 0.32 points or 2.81 percent during the week.

At the end of the week, the PE ratio of banking sector stood at 6.08 points. PE ratio of IT sector stood at 15.71 points, textile sector 14.14 points, pharmaceuticals and chemistry 18.38 points, engineering sector 13.78 points, insurance sector 16.15 points, miscellaneous sector 20.81 points among others.
