The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 729,692 as of Monday morning, according to the data provided by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Besides, 2,487 more people tested positive for the virus, which makes 257,600 confirmed cases in total.
