Covid-19: Global deaths reach 739,898

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 739,898 as of Wednesday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 20,207,011 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 6,334,011 infected patients 6,269,404 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates. On the other hand, 64,607 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 12,460,381 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 33 patients died from Covid-19 in the country over the last 24 hours as of Tuesday, taking the death toll to 3,471.

Besides, 2,996 more people tested positive for the virus, which makes 263,503 confirmed cases in total.
