Donald Trump's younger brother hospitalized: Report

US President Donald Trump's brother Robert has been admitted to a hospital, the White House confirmed Friday.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Matthews said that Robert Trump was admitted to a hospital but declined to provide additional details.

ABC News, citing anonymous sources, reported that Robert Trump was "very ill" and had been admitted to a hospital in New York.

Trump, who is scheduled to spend the weekend at his golf club in Bedminster, N.J., is expected to visit his brother on Friday, officials said on condition of anonymity to discuss the president's travel.

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany told ABC News that the president and his brother "have a very good relationship" and that Trump would provide more details later.

Robert Trump, born two years after Donald Trump, made news recently for suing to block publication of a book critical of the president by Mary Trump, the president’s niece.
