Covid-19: Global deaths reach 769,652

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 769,652 as of Sunday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 21,377,367 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 6,512,068 infected patients 6,447,616 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 64,452 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 13,371,435 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 34 patients died from Covid-19 in the country over the last 24 hours as of Saturday, taking the death toll to 3,625.

Besides, 2,644 more people tested positive for the virus, which makes 274,525 confirmed cases in total.
