Covid-19: Global deaths reach 835,665

Global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 835,665 as of Saturday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 24,644,951 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 6,768,223 infected patients 6,707,035 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 61,188 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 16,113,360 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 47 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Friday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 4,174.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 306,794 as 2,211 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
