Rupali Life Insurance declares 14% dividend

The board of directors of Rupali Life Insurance Company Ltd has recommended 12 per cent cash and 2 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2019.

The final approval will come at the annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled to be held at 10:00am on October 28 through a digital platform. The record date is October 1.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) confirmed the information on its website Monday.

There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company on August 31 following its corporate declaration. However, as per a BSEC order issued on March 19, the floor price shall be applicable accordingly.

The company’s increase in life revenue account for January-March, 2020 was 5.27 million taka with total life insurance fund of 4,769.65 million taka as against increase in life revenue account of 5.67 million taka and 4,509.66 million taka respectively for the same period of the previous year.

The company’s increase in life revenue account for April-June 2020 was 70.65 million taka with total life insurance fund of 4,840.29 million taka as against increase of 14.24 million taka and 4,523.90 million taka respectively for the same period of the previous year.

Increase in life revenue account for Jan-June, 2020 was 72.97 million taka with total life insurance fund of 4,837.34 million taka as against 19.91 million taka and 4,523.90 million taka respectively for the same period of the previous year.
