Over 17mn recover globally from coronavirus

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 861,668 as of Thursday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 25,937,029 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

So far, 17,212,679 people have recovered.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 6,867,980 infected patients 6,807,363 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 60,617 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

In Bangladesh, 35 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Wednesday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 4,351.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 317,528 as 2,582 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
