Revenue collection from DSE increases by 31pc in August

The government's revenue collection through the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country's prime bourse, increased by 5.82 crore taka or 31 per cent in August. This information has been known from DSE sources.

It is learned that the government's revenue collection from the DSE in August was 24 crore 61 lakh 79 thousand 340 taka. In July, 18 crore 79 lakh 65 thousand 532 taka was collected. In other words, the government's revenue collection in August increased by 5 crore 82 lakh 13 thousand 808 taka or 30.97 per cent from the previous month.

In August, out of the total of 24 crore 61 lakh 79 thousand 340 taka, a revenue of 18 crore 61 lakh 70 thousand 463 taka has been collected from share and unit transactions, whereas, 5 crore 99 lakh 92 thousand 867 taka was collected from this sector in July.

In other words, the revenue collection from this sector increased by 12 crore 61 lakh 77 thousand 596 taka.

From the sale of shares of the entrepreneurial director or placement, a revenue of 6 crore 8 thousand 877 taka has been collected in August. The amount was 12 crore 79 lakh 72 thousand 665 taka in July.

In other words, the revenue collection from this sector in August decreased by 6 crore 79 lakh 63 thousand 788 taka.
