PE ratio on DSE rises 0.92pc

The overall price-to-earnings ratio (PE ratio) of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) increased by 0.92 percent in the outgoing week according to DSE sources.

The PE ratio of DSE was 13.06 points at the beginning of last week and 13.18 points at the end of the week. In other words, the PE ratio has increased by 0.12 points or 0.92 percent during the week.

At the end of the week, the PE ratio of the banking sector stood at 7.03 points. Besides, the PE ratio of other sectors were: IT 17.12 points, Textile 15.62 points, Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals 20.50 points, Engineering 15.29 points, Insurance 15.39 points, Miscellaneous 25.48 points, Food 13.24 points, Leather 17.26 points, Cement 29.18 points and Power and Energy 12.36 points, Finance 28.72 points, Travel and Leisure 30.96 points, Paper 51.22 points, Telecommunications 12.57 points, Service and Housing 14.43 points, Ceramic 23.83 points and Jute 38.44 points.
