9 cos included, 9 excluded in CSE-50 index

The CSE-50 index has been adjusted based on the performance review of companies listed on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE). It has excluded 9 companies from the index and included 9 other.

The changes will be effective from September 20.

The newly added companies are -- Orion Pharma Ltd, Confidence Cement Ltd, Shahjibazar Power Co Ltd, Standard Bank Ltd, Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd, Baraka Power Ltd, Dorin Power Generations and Systems Ltd, RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) and Bangladesh Shipping Corporation.

On the other hand, the companies excluded from the index are -- Acme Laboratories Ltd, Bank Asia Ltd, Eastern Bank Ltd, Meghna Petroleum Ltd, Olympic Industries Ltd, Prime Bank Ltd, Pubali Bank Ltd, Social Islami Bank Ltd and Unique Hotels & Resorts Ltd.
