Global Covid-19 death toll reaches 891,240

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 891,240 as of Tuesday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 27,255,750 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 7,001,547 infected patients 6,941,322 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 60,225 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 18,243,509 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 37 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Monday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 4,516.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 327,359 as 2,202 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
