Global Covid-19 death toll reaches 922,441

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 922,441 as of Monday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 28,891,676 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 7,226,825 infected patients 7,166,358 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 60,467 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 19,538,302 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 31 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Monday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 4,733.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged 337,520 as 1,476 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
