Eastern Housing announces 15% cash dividend

The board of directors of Eastern Housing Ltd has decided to pay a 15 per cent cash dividend to the shareholders after reviewing the financial statements for the financial year ended on June 30, 2020.

Sources at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) confirmed the information to The Business Post.

It is learned that after reviewing the financial report for the last financial year, the company's earnings per share (EPS) stood at 3.12 taka, net asset value (NAV) per share 62.47 taka and net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) 22.99 taka as of June 30, 2020, as against 3.70 taka, 61.35 taka and 8.00 taka respectively for the same period of the previous year.

The annual general meeting (AGM) of the company will be held on November 5 to approve the declared dividend with the consent of the shareholders. October 8 has been set as the company's record date for the distribution of dividends among shareholders.

There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company today (Wednesday) following its corporate declaration. However, as per a Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) order issued on March 19, 2020, the floor price will be applicable accordingly.
