Investors get back Tk 14 thousand crore more

Like the previous week, the stock market traded up in the outgoing week. All stock market indices rose during the week. The amount of money transaction in both the stock markets increased during the week. As a result, investors have recovered a market capitalization of Tk 14,111.22 crore during the week.

It is learned that 5,635 crore 33 lakh 21 thousand 636 taka has been traded on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) in 5 working days of the outgoing week. Which is Tk 340 crore 53 lakh 32 thousand 45 or 6.43 percent more than the previous week. In the previous week, the transaction was 5 thousand 294 crore 79 lakh 89 thousand 591 taka.

On the last working day of the outgoing week, the market capitalization of DSE stood at Tk 3,85,632.71 crore. The market capitalization on the last working day of the previous week was Tk 3 lakh 78 thousand 941 crore 97 lakh 6 thousand. In other words, the market capitalization of DSE has increased by Tk 6,690.74 crore during the week.

The DSE's main index, the DSEX, rose 93.36 points or 1.86 percent to 5,104.65 points during the week. Among other indices, the Shariah Index rose 4.54 points or 0.39 percent and the DSE-30 Index rose 21.37 points or 1.22 percent to 1,163.06 points and 1,761.60 points respectively.

In the outgoing week, a total of 360 companies participated in the share and unit transactions on the DSE. Among the companies, the share price increased by 212, decreased by 119 and remained unchanged at 28.

On the other stock market Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) in the outgoing week, the amount of money has been traded Tk 175 crore 41 lakh 23 thousand 838. And in the previous week the transaction was Tk 154 crore 29 lakh 59 thousand 802. In other words, the turnover on the CSE during the week has increased by Tk 21 crore 11 lakh 64 thousand 36 or 13.68 percent.

During the week, the market capitalization of CSE increased by Tk 7,420.48 crore to Tk 3,16,433.99 crore. In the previous week, the market capitalization of CSE was Tk 3,09,013.51 crore.

During the week, the overall CSE index CASPI rose by 278.60 points or 1.94 percent to 14,573.70 points. Shares and units of 317 companies traded on the CSE during the week. Of the companies, 1176 increased, 111 decreased and 30 remained unchanged.
