Covid-19: Global death toll reaches 959,332

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 959,332 as of Monday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 30,919,638 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 7,443,888 infected patients 7,382,649 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 61,239 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 21,159,457 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 26 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Sunday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 4,939.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged 348,916 as 1,544 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
