Coronavirus: Global deaths reaches 1,021,765

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,021,765 as of Friday morning, according to the data provided by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 34,205,778 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 7,783,400 infected patients 7,717,332 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 66,068 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 23,772,056 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 21 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Thursday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,272.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 364,987 as 1,508 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
