The government has promoted 7 general managers (GMs) to the post of deputy managing directors and appointed them to different state-owned banks and financial institutions with a view to bringing dynamism to the banking sector of the country.
The newly promoted deputy managing directors (DMDs) were holding positions as general managers at different state banks.
The Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance issued the promotion order through a circular issued on Sunday, directing the bank authorities concerned to make these promotions effective immediately.
“The newly promoted DMDs will hold the posts till further notice,” said the circular signed by the Financial Institutions Division Deputy Secretary Md Mohiuddin.
According to the circular, Md Murshidul Kabir has been appointed as DMD to Janata Bank followed by Md Abdul Salam Molla to Agrani Bank, Md Mahumdul Amin Masud to Agrani Bank, Mahmmad Jahangir to Rupali Bank, Md Aminul Hasan to Janata Bank, Md Refat Hasan to Investment Corporation of Bangladesh and Sheikh Muhammad Jaminul Rahman to Janata bank DMD.
