Revenue collection from DSE increases by 12pc in September

The government's revenue collection through the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country's main stock exchange, increased by 12 per cent in September from that of the previous month.

This improvement in revenue collection has been due to the recovery in transactions, according to DSE sources.

It is learned that in September this year, the revenue collected through the DSE was 27 crore 49 lakh taka. The amount was 24 crore 62 lakh taka in August. In other words, the revenue collection has increased by 2 crore 87 lakh taka or 12 per cent in a month.

Revenue of 22 crore 26 lakh taka has been collected from share and unit transactions in September this year. Another 5 crore 23 lakh taka has been recovered from the sale of the entrepreneurial director or placement shares. As per this, the total revenue collected in September was 27 crore 49 lakh taka.

On the other hand, in the previous month of August, a revenue of 18 crore 62 lakh taka was collected from share and unit transactions while 6 crore taka was collected from the sale of the entrepreneur director or placement shares. As a result, the total revenue collected in August was 24 crore 62 lakh taka.
