Coronavirus: Global deaths reach 1,042,645

The global death toll from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,042,645 as of Tuesday morning, according to the data provided by the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 35,398,010 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 7,784,060 infected patients 7,717,179 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 66,881 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 24,642,356 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 27 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Monday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,375.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 370,132 as 1,442 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
